Since the release of the original Pokémon games on the Nintendo Game Boy in 1996, the number of Pokémon has grown from 151 to over 1,000. To mark the 30th anniversary, The Pokémon Company is proud to announce "PokéXciting!" —a special event series dedicated to our fans across Asia.
Whether you are an active Trainer or a longtime fan who once journeyed through the Pokémon world, this exciting experience has something for everyone. Over the next year, the event will tour five major cities across Asia!
First stop: Kuala Lumpur!
We are excited to reveal that the event will take place at the iconic KLCC Park, famous for its lush greenery and stunning scenery.
Event Dates: Saturday, September 12 – Sunday, September 13, 2026
Admission: Free (Open to everyone!)
During the event, KLCC Park will be completely immersed in the world of Pokémon!

1）Lighting Up the Night Sky: Malaysia's First-Ever Pokémon-Themed Drone Show
Experience Malaysia’s first-ever stunning Pokémon-themed drone show illuminating the skyline behind the Petronas Twin Towers. Get ready to be amazed as countless synchronized lights bring Pokémon to life right before your eyes.
2）Meet “PokéXciting! Pikachu”
To make this celebration even more special, a unique companion named “PokéXciting! Pikachu” will be visiting each city! Surprisingly, this Pikachu will feature a different color costume unique to each city.
For Kuala Lumpur, it will debut in a vibrant Turquoise!
What color variations will the other cities be...? Stay tuned for future announcements!
Non-Stop Fun from Day to Night!
High-Voltage Night Stage: When the sunsets, get ready for special stage shows featuring “PokéXciting! Pikachu”! With danceable beats and a spectacular production, the energy at the venue is guaranteed to be through the roof.
Merchandise: Special merchandise featuring the Kuala Lumpur edition of “PokéXciting! Pikachu” will be available for purchase!
Pokémon GO Collaboration: Get ready, Trainers! “PokéXciting! Pikachu” is also scheduled to appear in-game! Make sure your smartphones are fully charged.
Of course, there are plenty of daytime activities for children and families to enjoy as well.
