Separate from the Pokémon Trading Card Game competition, we will also be holding the ‘Pokémon VG Side Event at Malaysia Regional League (Dec 2023)’, a side event where participants will face each other in Double Battles on Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. ○Important Information
Preparing for the event:
・In order to participate in the ‘Pokémon VG Side Event at Malaysia Regional League (Dec 2023)’, you must register in advance through the dedicated Google Form for the event.
Regarding tardiness:
・Players who did not check in at the venue within 20 minutes after the start of the first round will be considered as having dropped from the side event and will not be able to participate.
・If a player is not seated at their table and ready in-game when a round starts, they will be considered as having lost that round.
* 10 minutes before each round starts, please access Poké Portal → Link Battle → Set Link Code → Double Battle, and be ready on the standby screen.
・If a player got a loss for tardiness, they have until the announced end-of-round time to request to be allowed to continue participating in the event. Otherwise, they will be considered as having dropped from the event and will not be able to participate in the rest of the event.
Other considerations:
・If during the event a participant was found to have been using Pokémon that were obtained or modified with a save-altering software or device , or Pokémon containing any such data (part of the Prohibited Behavior below), that player may receive a disqualification and lose all rights and benefits they would have gotten from the event, and they may also be banned from participating in future events. Note that this penalty may apply to a player regardless of whether they purposefully made the alteration themselves or not.
・If an issue or malfunction with either player’s Nintendo Switch Family System prevented a match from concluding, that player may receive a penalty up to a disqualification.
・If a match was interrupted because of a problem with the organizer-provided equipment, or a power outage and such cutting the connection, the match will have to be redone.
○ Prohibited Behavior
Participants who engage in any of the behaviors below may receive penalties.
Additionally, if a player is found, either during or after the event, to have engaged in any of the behaviors below, they may lose all rights and benefits they would have gotten from the event.
・Using Pokémon that were illegally obtained or modified with a save-altering software or device, or Pokémon containing any such data.
・Using a Nintendo Switch Family System that has been modified with any non-Nintendo-licensed product.
・Any behavior deemed by the organizer as having a potential influence on the outcome of a match, such as checking pre-written notes, strategy guides, or using a mobile device during the match.
・Any behavior the organizer identifies as considerable stalling.
・Any behavior that might cause trouble for other participants or make them feel uncomfortable.
・Registering with false information, or participating under someone else’s name.
・Any other behavior the organizer deems unsuitable.
